If you say you made a tomato puree it sounds like you know what you’re doing in the kitchen. If you word it differently and say you squashed up some tomatoes with a fork, then added chili powder, perhaps others might think of your skills differently.
Are you a sculptor, or do you work at Walmart? Don’t let the job that helps pay the bills define who you are. Who am I? I’m a fine art photographer as well as an educator of artistic composition and design. Speak the higher truth and avoid selling yourself short.
